The Church leadership carries the responsibility of guiding the church family in spiritual growth
and community service.
They are tasked with teaching biblical principles, providing support during difficult times, and fostering a welcoming environment for all.
Additionally, church leaders must ensure the effective management of church resources and nurture relationships within the community.
Ultimately, their role is to inspire faith and
encourage members to live out their beliefs in everyday life.
About the Leadership
Ian Wakeham - Treasurer
With an extensive financial background in the private and charity sector, Ian recently gave up paid work to focus on two charities of which he is a trustee.
Ian has been preaching since the tender age of 16 and is still actively involved in preaching and leading worship.
Maurice Perry - Property Trustee
On leaving school Maurice joined the navy and enjoyed a variety of roles when he left. He was elected as deacon in 2006 where he served for 17 years.
Having taken a break, Maurice returned to the leadership team in 2025. He is also an active member of the Melksham Foodbank
Jim Morris - Safegaurding Trustee
Jim has always been fascinated by the sea and especially vessels of all kinds, as most of his formative years were spent either on or near canals, river or the coast: from an early age he was either on or near the water.
No Wonder then that his interest continues as a volunteer.
His experience has highlighted the many challenges we face providing for those in need at home and abroad and he continues to support the many relief agencies involved.
This extends tot he provision in our own community through volunteering at schools and GP surgeries.
Pastors - Ian and Mary Wakeham
Ian and Mary are delighted to be our new co-pastors.
They have been part of our church family for a couple of years, and we look forward to seeing what the Lord has planned for them
Mary Wakeham - Secretary
Mary has a real passion for Community Engagement - though her background is in finance, she gave up her day job to undertake a degree in Theology at Bristol Baptist College between 2016 and 2021.
She never managed to return to paid work after that , choosing instead to follow her heart and go into pastoral care.
